The Msgr. Charles Baum Council was founded in 2002 on March 29, which is Founder's Day for the Knights of Columbus

The council is named after Msgr. Charles Baum, who was pastor of St. Mary's 
from 1951 to 1973. The Msgr. Baum Council works closely with the St. Mary's 
Parish in GreenvilleSC, providing funds for various projects, members being 
active participants in their parish.
